POSITION: Intervention Specialist anticipated low-incidence disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (elementary, middle, or high school; grade levels TBD). Full-time; potential for 2024-25 school year and/or 2025-26 school year and beyond.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist licensure or be eligible to obtain a supplemental license.
DESCRIPTION:
Classroom services are designed to serve students with high communication needs. The program is designed for students identified with low-incidence disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Communicate high expectations for students.
- Plan and implement lessons that stimulate student interest and enthusiasm.
- Vary instructional techniques to address individual student needs.
- Work effectively as a team member behavior specialist instructional assistant with related service providers.
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to instructional assistants.
- Utilize positive behavior supports and interventions with students.
- Implement behavior intervention plans as part of a team.
LOCATION: To be determined: The Classroom will be located in the NwOESC service area. Possible locations include public schools in Fulton, Henry, Williams, and Defiance counties. CONTRACT: Per the applicable school calendar
