The NwOESC currently has paraprofessional openings in the following school districts:
Napoleon, Part-Time, Special Education, Elementary, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:15 am-12:00 pm
Napoleon, Full-Time, Special Education, High School, Monday-Friday 7:45 am-3:00 pm (LEAP Bus: Leap Bus: 7:45-8:30 and 1:35-3:00Additional classroom para: 8:30-1:35)
QUALIFICATIONS (partial list):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FBI and BCI background checks are required.
- Hold or be qualified to obtain an Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit.
- Ability to learn skills appropriate for the position.
- Demonstrated maturity and the ability to work with students with special needs
DESCRIPTION: A paraprofessional supports students in meeting their educational goals under the supervision of the classroom teacher; performs a variety of educational and support services to help achieve productive learning experiences; provides guidance and encouragement to help students pursue their intellectual, social, and emotional potentials; promotes the inclusion of students with disabilities into classroom and school activities; recognizes each professional contact as an opportunity to promote a positive impression of the educational service center.
LOCATION: Public Schools located in Henry County
CONTRACT: Per the 2024-25 school calendar
SALARY: Per salary schedule based on experience
